Homemade Teriyaki Sauce
There are virtually unlimited dishes that you can make using this sauce. Are you wondering why you shouldn’t instead just buy a bottle of teriyaki sauce from the store? This recipe is incredibly simple and tastes infinitely better than the sticky, sugary store-bought sauces - trust us. It will thicken and turn into a beautiful glaze when cooked. We will add recipes of our favorite applications in our Recipe page.
Instructions:
Pour the measured soy sauce, mirin, and sake into a pot and add the sugar.
Over medium heat, continuously stir the mixture until the sugar is fully dissolved (5-7 minutes). Do not boil.
Transfer to a container of your choice (we keep ours in a plastic squeeze bottle with a lid) and keep it in your pantry.
Note: This sauce will keep for several months and it does not need to be refrigerated.
Enjoy!
